- ABC Dry Chemical (multi-purpose)
- Pressurized water (Ordinary combustibles: wood, paper, rubber fabrics and many plastics)
- Halon (leaves no residue, best for electrical rooms but can be used anywhere)
- Class K (All cooking appliances)
- Carbon Dioxide (Non-contaminating odorless gas. Best on chemicals and electrical)
- Class D (Combustible metals)
Midwest Fire & Safety currently services extinguishers in the following settings: multi-family residential buildings, hotels, hospitals and medical centers, manufacturing facilities, commercial retail, restaurants, agricultural, and trucking companies.
Our goal is to ease your mind about your NFPA and OSHA requirements. It is our job to help you maintain all of your extinguisher requirements and make sure it is ready for use if needed.
Our services include:
- Monthly extinguisher inspections include accessibility and proper location requirements, pressure, overall appearance and tagging, ready to use.
- Annual Inspection includes internal and external review, testing, pressure verification, tags and documentation.
- Service work as needed to replace parts and recharge if needed.
- 6 year maintenance includes blow down, internal inspection, recharge, documentation.
- Hydrostatic testing services every 5 and 12 years for pressure testing.
Midwest Fire & Safety offers training on all fire extinguishers and 24/7 service if needed. Our technicians are certified and trained in all types of fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems.
